The Missus and I are volunteers at the Military Aviation Museum here in Virginia Beach. About 80% of the collection flies and several of our Navy aircraft will be headed to Atlanta for an air show this weekend.
After the AD-4 Skyraider took off, the pilot brought it around for a pass over the air field, a tradition at the Museum. But this one was done in a simulated ground attack, appropriate for a ground attack aircraft.
In this shot he is starting to strafe the guests, volunteers and ground crew...and we are looking straight up the barrels of his four 20mm cannons.*
*We may be really into military aircraft but we aren't so foolish as to give our pilots actual weapons.
