On June 17, I posted a picture of a wild turkey near the Chesterfield County Airport ( https://365project.org/timerskine/365/2020-06-17). Cruising around the airport today, looking for any interesting planes that might be around (but coming up empty) I saw this killdeer (Charadrius vociferus) just outside the terminal building.
I've always loved killdeer. They're pretty little birds and their call, which sounds like their name, is quite distinctive.
