Destroyer in the Mist

During my cold and blustery outing at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge I could hear the waves crashing on the shore a couple hundred yards away. I wanted to see how rough the ocean was but did want to walk through even more wind getting through the dunes to the beach. As I was driving home, I took the road through Sandbridge closest to the beach. When I passed the main beach entrance I saw waves crashing and a warship on the horizon. The distance to get this picture wasn't nearly as far (but would have been worth a hike) so I quickly parked, walked out to the middle of the barrier dunes and grabbed this shot.

This is an Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer heading out to sea. It is quite a ways out as it is just ever so slightly starting to go over the horizon. That is unless you're a flat-earther, in which case, it's sinking.
Well caught!
