The kids and I went to a local park to play by the water and at the playground. I was happy to be greeted by this scene and this nice heron was kind enough to let me take a few pictures of him. I anticipate this will be the last of the summer days, so I tried to take full advantage of it.
I also looked out the window this morning to find the harvest moon setting behind the Olympic Mountains. I took a few snaps but wasn't very happy with them since I had to grab the camera so fast and didn't get to fiddle with the settings before it had set. At least I got to see it!
This is magical!! What a wonderful view!! & such an obliging heron :) I especially love the stream where I'm guessing a plane had flown by.. & the mountains subtly pictured in the background. . Beautiful! !
Love the heron in the foreground, the ship in mid-ground, and the mountain in the background, and your eye sweeps diagonally across the photo, making for a very strong composition. Well done!
