Growing

We had a little hike in one of our usual spots, walking distance from home, and my little guy was so fascinated by these plants sprouting up. I couldn't tell him what they grow into, so we are both anticipating what they may become :)

We have had a rare, uneventful last 3 days...quietly playing, building forts, coloring, playing with play doh, snuggling on the couch, taking short walks to get fresh air. It has been nice for a change, but I am ready to get back to our "normal" busy schedule. I hope our house is healthy next week.
Lovely shot, good DOF. I wish I knew what they were.

What a strange plant. Can't say I've seen one of those before! Great shot.

I have those all over my neighborhood. They are a noxious weed called Equisetopsida or horsetail. I used to volunteer in the summer to pull them out near some of the local beaches. It's a hard fight, they keep coming back.

Those are amazing plants. If those are horsetails, they're one of the most ancient plants in our world.
