After a 2 week "spring break", we decided to get back to our preschool project theme weeks. Even though he wasn't feeling the greatest all week, he insisted he wanted to do the projects. Zoo animals are always a fun topic. We did a few zoo animal crafts, animal tracks painting, a zoo animal sensory bin, animal cracker sequencing (and eating, of course), polar bear race and polar bear paw counting, blocks with zoo animals and letters they begin with (along with some practice with phonics), made zoo cages out of play doh and popsicle sticks and wrote out the "signs" to name each animal. We visited the Seattle zoo where we did a scavenger hunt. We also sang some fun songs and read zoo themed books throughout the week.
