More canals than Venice

This is a true fact about Birmingham, though even I must admit they don’t really compare. They do have their own particular charm though. This view today, with very gloomy low cloud and stoical fishermen, made me a little bit more proud of my city.

Interesting to see fishermen amongst the buildings. Nice image. At least no flooding there (I hope...) as at the moment in Venice!
