I had to go in to the city for an appointment today. I arrived an hour early so went for a mooch around Centenary Square as there were far fewer people there than in the retail areas. With so few about I was able to get a few nice shots.
This new library (the largest public library in the UK) was completed and opened in 2013, and had become the 10th most visited landmark in Britain...before coronavirus showed up, of course.
@carole_sandford Yes, that building is Baskerville House, and until recently was a civic building. The one to the left of the library is our Repertory Theatre.
I had a 365 meet up in Birmingham once with @thistle01 & she took me to this amazing library. I have never ever forgotten it. Such a cool place & of course all the books...the map floor & roof space etc!
