Bognor Regis

A seaside town on the south coast of England. When we were little my sister and I wanted very much to visit, simply because we liked it’s name. We were told the weather wouldn’t be too bad, but it was really horrible, and we didn’t hang around too long. We did find a lovely village and NT property on our way back to the hotel though - more photos to follow.

Bognor Regis! So that’s what it looks like. What a shame the weather was dire but it’s given you a great bleak shot, very atmospheric.

Bognor Regus - also conjured some magical place to me too !! we arrived for a day there when on a hols on the South Coast ! The sun was shining but when we arrived the beach and town got infested by "beach" flies - we didn't stay long - but I shall never forget !!!!

The name has indeed a certain ring to it!

What a strange name for an English seaside town. Looks rather deserted but hopefully busier when it’s hot! Not too keen on a stony beach!

Have never been, but it is an odd name!
With reference to King George V - a pervasive rumour holds that, after being told that he could recuperate in the seaside town of Bognor Regis, the kings last words were “Bugger Bognor!”

It does look really bleak and I wouldn't fancy walking on those stones

Bognor brings back memories for me too, especially the bleakness of your photo

A great capture of the textured beach with this b&w shot. And I love the lines of the docks extending into the water. A super shot, Lesley! Fav

@beryl Ew, I’m glad we only had blustery drizzle to worry about.
