The ceiling of St Michael’s Church in Walsall is beautiful. It looked like macrame to me. It is a beautiful church, high on a hill overlooking the town and miles around. We had previously found out that it is open to the general public on Tuesdays so we popped in. We got a free coffee and cake and an impromptu guided tour by a lovely lady (whose name I have forgotten). There is a lot of history here, which I will try to delve in to.
