Old, wooden turnstile barrier at each end of a small lane in Ottery St Mary, Devon.

I like all the different bricks in this and the turnstile looks really old. Is it near the school for safety purposes?

@pattyblue No, not at all. I counted 3 similar passages joining the same two streets. I assume they were important roads in the early days of the town.
