Underneath by tiredpanda

Day 261 - 18/10/20

Today's word of the day is "underneath". I chose to photograph the underneath of my emergency window hammer. Those prongs are used to attach it into a car carpet area. I have a separate one in the car so I leave this one in the house in case of emergency!
It looks like a robot 😀 Interesting find.

I wouldn’t want to get in the way of the pointy bits.

Very interesting.

How do you use this?

So basically the black thing is a holder. On the other side is a bright orange tool. It's basically a hammer with pointed heads so that it can easily smash a window. The other end also has a protected blade that will cut a seat belt. So if you're in a crash you can slice your seat belt, then smash the window, and get out the car before it explodes for example. I know that's a bit of an extreme example, but it gives you an idea of how and when it's used. I have them in my house too in case there's a fire and I need to climb out the window. I know I sound really pessimistic, but I'd rather be safe than sorry haha!
