Drills!

Day 262 - 19/10/20

Today's word of the day is "fun". Something that I find fun is 5d diamond painting sets. It's a cross between painting by numbers, and cross-stitch. You have an image full of squares with symbols in and the image is covered completely with a clear glue. Then, following the code, you put the correct gem (also called drill) onto the corresponding symbol. Then, once you've completed it, all the tiny drills make up a large image. Hopefully that explanation made sense. It's something that I really enjoy doing. I've just got a new one which is an image of three cats hanging in christmas stockings outside in the snow. I've not started it yet, so today's photo is of the bags of drills. The image size I am doing is 40cm x 40cm. Each drill is about 2mm long. So hopefully you can imagine how many thousands of drills it takes to complete the image, and also how long it takes to place each drill! But nevertheless I really enjoy doing it. It's very relaxing and great to do when you're watching the TV or YouTube or something. It's also a very cheap (well in the UK at least) hobby, which I find a bonus as well!
Great idea for your fun hobby. I look forward to seeing the finished result. I am sure that I have seen this recently on another 365’rs post.
