Weekly Gathering

Most Tuesday mornings the residents gather for a cuppa and a chat. Today we also organised a lunch outing for tomorrow. Who'd have thought Retirement Village life would be so busy.

Thank you for your comments and favs they are greatly appreciated.
It is good that you are kept so active and very well fed from the looks of it too.

Lovely gathering. Great capture to record it. You said what would we do without feasts. Well the Sunday after the Balluta feast, that is last Sunday, there was the feast of San Gwann (where I live) in the same area and next week it will be the turn of Stella Maris, Sliema, where I was brought up. Besides, the coming weekend there is the feast of Santa Marija which is celebrated with great pomp around both Malta and Gozo. It is a public holiday (this year falling on a Sunday) and celebrated a WWII convoy which brought supplies to Malta when Malta was on the verge of surrender because it was starving. Christine and I are invited to a barbeque on my daughter's roof top from where I can take as many pictures as I like ot that feast in Mosta.
