Rock Ledges and Cove by tosee

Rock Ledges and Cove

The ledges formed of hard ancient lava flows with air pockets and quartz veins extend out into Lake
Superior. It is hard and , at the same time, can break off and crumble to the touch. The cove is being made larger as the waves eat away at the
sedimentary rock back from the ledges.
