Touch Me

A massive bronze wall of sculpture and braille at the FDR Memorial in DC. Designed with the blind in mind, perhaps lost in translation as the top is certainly too high to reach and there is controversy about the readability of the braille, which is seemingly so enlarged as to be difficult and perhaps not possible for many to read. The wall is striking to see though.

I recommend visiting the FDR Memorial if you visit Washington DC. It's right on the beautiful tidal basin. I like it a lot at night. The memorial has four different waterfalls, but unfortunately for me I didn't realize that they were drained of any water right now. On the other hand, I've been so distracted by the water when I've visited before that I never noticed this section.
Good Pov and thanks for the info.

What a wonderful idea, even if it has perhaps failed in the execution, but certainly an impressive piece of work.

Beautiful tones but, as you point out, not too practical for purpose.
