Wednesday morning shot of mauve mountain. I'm shooting so many of Mt Rainier that I have to keep finding new ways to do it. (Though still from my house!) This is through bedroom window that looks through vine maple branches. Today I shot some like this but also from porch that I will post tonight. Monday fog was gray, Tuesday it was golden, and Wednesday it was mauve. Thank you weather! Oh, and the reason I chose this view was because the sunrise was sparkling the raindrops on the branches. Maybe easier to see those on black.
I like the way the layers in this image make you travel though it. Initially the barrier of the trees in the foreground but one through those the dark trees, the mist, the mountain and the sky can all be enjoyed before one is forced to retreat back behind the trees in the foreground.
Trinda, you are either a total morning person, or the views of Mt. Rainier from your house are not the best at sunset! I am in total awe of your sunrise shots of this beautiful mountain, and your dedication to capture it!
