Seagull landing in a pond, late afternoon. Shot using my new gimbal. So much easier to photograph birds with a gimbal.
Wonderful image with that reflection! You'll have to tell me what a gimbal is!

@jamibann Thanks, a gimbal is a device that you put on your tripod and it lets you swing the camera around, following moving subjects, like birds, and keeps the camera stable and steady. Therefore your shots are sharper as long as your shutter speed is right. I used a really fast shutter speed, 1/640 of a second, and my ISO was high at 2500. F-9. You can get small ones for not too much money and the price just goes on and on as you get serious. They are used by movie people too for smooth movement of the movie cameras. For mine, I remove the ball head and screw the gimbal in to use instead. They have ones from Wimberly that you can attach to your ball head instead.

@jamibann I was shooting at a very fast shutter speed, but my expert friends a week ago were shooting at 1/30 of a second in order to get wing blur, and sharp eyes with panning. Now that is hard to do.
