Feeding on milkweed

My garden club planted this butterfly weed (a kind of milkweed) to feed monarchs. I discovered today that our plan is working. The next generation of monarchs that emerge will have to fly south for the winter.

Wonderful to see the caterpillar on your milkweed! We have a few milkweed plants in our wildflower garden, but haven't ever seen a caterpillar on them.
