Day 16-18 June 5-7 Indian Ocean

I'm reminiscing on our Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. We spent two wonderful days in Malaysia avoiding the big cities and exploring the countryside. We had morning tea in a country home where every inch of their tiny yard had been turned into an orchard garden; enjoyed a motorboat tour of mangrove lined waterways of Langkawi; saw our first monkeys in the wild, fed sea eagles and marvelled at the contrast between rich and poor. By June 7 we were enjoying the last of three sea days spent crossing the Bay of Bengal. Good food, good company, good entertainment made the days pass quickly and excitement was building as we packed our bags for a three day tour of India which was to be one of the highlights of the trip.
Sharing "Life on Board Dawn Princess" - the challenges faced at the food bar, the view from our balcony, the wonderful string quartet that serenaded us in the Atrium and the beauty of the finished product of a fruit carving demo.
This sounds like a dream cruise. The food on cruises is awesome. Your photo collage represents a lot of what is wonderful about a cruise. The carving looks a little like one I saw done on my last cruise. That must be a watermellon. The food artist on my cruise used the whte rine and the pink of the inside but the design is similar.

@vernabeth You're right. The carving is a watermelon. The carvers are so quick and so clever. Can imagine the inclusion of the pink centre would have been pretty.
