This old cow had herself placed side on to the early morning sun inviting any passing parasite hunters to dine. First three peewee (small black and white birds) then the black hen followed by two white hens all accepted the invitation and the cow never moved and inch. Just stood there entranced. The parasite they are dining on is the cattle tick. I've seen birds do this before but never the hens.
I have never heard of this before, let alone seen it. Very interesting! Wonderful shot, too! I love how you've captured the hen on one leg reaching as high as she can.
