Garden Delights

The winter garden is looking rather drab and messy with fallen leaves providing the bulk of colour. That was until these two pale-headed Rosella dropped in this morning to fossick through the leaves. They were entertaining to watch, tossing leaves aside until they found a treat then balancing on one leg as they used the other to hold the seed while they ate it.
The two together give a good illustration of their colour.
The birds are beautiful and do add color to an otherwise drab scene. Nice capture.

So exotic - we'd only get birds like that in cages which is all wrong for me.

@becs2000 Thanks Rebeca. This is just what I was trying to capture - the little flashes of colour in amongst the fallen leaves. They are very shy and always seem to keep something between themselves and the camera.
