Bird watchers from Birds Queensland are coming over Easter and during the next couple of weeks I want to check various bird watching sites for safety, access, suitability etc. Today I began by visiting the newly created wetlands at the head waters of Awoonga Dam. I was very excited to add a new bird to my list - a black-fronted dotterel. However they were a little camera shy so these two pelicans will record the trip.
