Afternoon Visitor

An unfamiliar bird call drew me away from cooking dinner. It is a cuckoo but just which one I can't be sure as he was directly in front of the sun. Before I had a chance to get around behind him he was off and away across the paddock. Hope he returns at a more appropriate time tomorrow.

Probably the long tailed cuckoo since he does have a long tail! Lucky to see him!

Somyoure in winter now, we only hear the cuckoo in the Spring but I have no idea where they migrate to.
