One gapping mouth to fill and rubbish to be dumped.
Only one egg hatched but the parent birds are kept busy filling that gapping mouth. Each visit they also check out the nest and remove any droppings and bits of egg shell etc that have accumulated. They flit over to nearby trees and drop the litter well away from the nesting site.
@koalagardens Yes it is huge and it sits with it gapping open most of the day and if it does relax it responds to any movement and on a windy day like today it was continually searching for a beak to feed it.
