Melbourne Cup Day

The race that stops the nation - Australia. All dollied up for Melbourne Cup celebrations at the local Grand Hotel. I won a cent sale prize but couldn't pick a winner in the cup.

@happypat You are so right. It was great to have a reason to dress up at home. The occasions are few and far between out here in the bush, Usually its drive a 100km or so to the function. Book into a motel. Inevitably find you've left some vital piece of the ensemble at home ...yes it was a joy to relax a little.
