Gone but not Forgotten! by ukandie1

Gone but not Forgotten!

This is the rose that my daughter carried at her graduation, it made the long trip back from Connecticut to Illinois, and to be honest was pretty much dead by the time it got here, but I put it in some water anyway. It might not be fresh and alive anymore but it is still beautiful.

This is my second attempt at high key. Not sure it really worked, but I figured it is time for me to be more adventurous.
A sweet thought to keep the rose. Like the subtle lip of the glass.

@vstap thank you.I did think of getting the lip out of the shot, but struggled with it so I am glad you like it there. I have so much to learn.

What a beautiful rose and shot. I have no idea what high key is, I will go forth and educate myself :) A fav for me.

@dollycreek Don't feel bad. I did not know what high key was until a few weeks ago. That is the beauty of this site, there is so much to learn from just being here.

Super Ukandie, love how you can see all the rose petals so clearly. I will have to try some high key!

@ukandie1Too true! I did look it up and a funny thing, I had done high key without realising that was what I was actually doing. It made me laugh :)
