Inspired by a phone call from the dentist office reminding me of my son’s and daughter’s scheduled checkup (which I had forgotten about), I figured a toothbrush would be a good subject for the one night stand challenge of a macro. Not having done any macro shots before and not having a macro lens or any other attachments to mimic a macro lens, and having little idea of what I was doing I really struggled. I ended up resorting to my old point and shoot.
So let’s put this shot down to a one night stand I would like to forget about, and in the words of other 365’ers no need to comment move along, and on a side note time for me to brush up on some skills.
Now I'm not too familiar with you camera but what I do sometimes with mine is this. I get as close as I can with my zoom lens then with my in camera menu I have a place where I can trim the photo, from there I trim it in close to mimic a macro shot. I think technically it's a close up shot but it can look the same as a macro. That's my cheat because I don't have a macro lens either./ Just a thought and I really like the contrasting colors in this photo.... now I'm moving along :)
