I went to the lakefront to see the air and water show today, alas because of fog and low lying clouds it never happened. So I, along with how ever many other tens of thousands of people who patiently sat waiting with me, did what we so seldom do these days we talked to the people sitting next to us. I spent 4 hours in hope of seeing some high flying acrobatics, but instead, I talked to a family visiting from south China, a couple from Venezuela, and a family who drove 4 hours from central Illinois, as well as observing people just enjoying a Sunday afternoon. This was my favorite shot of the afternoon, I am amazed that I managed to get this young chap in isolation considering how many people were around, he like so many of us was just hoping that the clouds would clear.
Oh well there is always next year!
Now to try and catch up with all of your wonderful posts.
He looks like he is meditating. :) I like the solitary feel and reflections in this shot. Sorry you missed the air show for uncooperative weather, but it sounds like a multi-cultural event.
What a shame. I would never have guessed there were so many people there by your shot. A lovely capture of the hopeful little boy, lovely shadow and great in B&W.
he looks like he is meditating or thinking about foreign land.
