I think this may have been better if he was further down the stairs so he was not walking out of the shot, but I still like it and will go back to this spot in hope of getting it the way I want it.
I think he's placed perfectly and I love the simplicity! I don't really mind the railing, but agree that it might be fun to see it without it. If you just shrink yourself down a bit, it would probably disappear - you might need a taller subject, though ; )
@photographycrazy@yellowdog Thanks guys, I am definitely going to go back, composition is something I need to work on more especially on shots like this where I can work the scene a bit more so the feed back really helps.
Its very nice composed, and I like the processing in this one, "airy" but without loosing details. And like the others I see more oportunities in this location. Without saying, that this is not a brilliant photo.
Love this composition, and I can totally see why you would be drawn to this location. Since you would be taking the shot again (and, hopefully with another person further down the staircase!), I would aim for a lower POV so that the handrails disappear from view!
