I hope that all who look at this shot will take the time to read @annied comments on the last ape shot that I posted. They can be found here https://365project.org/ukandie1/365/2017-11-15 she makes some very good points.
Thanks to all who commented and fav'd my last ape shot, it was quite a surprise to find it made the TT, as these days I am not a great 365 participant! As for this shot as they say best on black!
I wish humans were half as intelligent as this gorilla seems. We sure are making a mess of our world, and that gorilla as you portray him seems to have wisdom - as you indicate. Beautifully captured portraiture.
Wonderful image and I fully agree with Annie, I visit a lot of zoos and animal parks and in most them the animals live a great life, luckily the time of wild capture are over. If I can give a little hint, I see some specks of grey in the black background and a larger grey spot above the gorilla's back, probably a mistake with the mask in PS - fav nonetheless
@leonbuys83 I always appreciate constructive critique, no offense taken, I know it can be hard to give it here as everyone is so nice and you never want a comment to be taken the wrong way! I edited this in LR, the background was quite mottled, with some very bright spots and that is probably what is coming through. Time for me to learn some PS skills I think!
