The Strength of Women!

Last year I missed the Women's March in Chicago because I was back in England laying my Mum to rest. This year it felt very personal to me that I should be a part of it, and I felt her there with me!
@taffy I was so sure I was going to go with color shots, but fell back to my comfort zone and hoped to tell a story with them.

This is a great choice. It definitely has the evocative sense of the day, the range of ages participating, the tightness emotionally and physically, and it's clearly an urban setting, so a sense of type of place. Well captured moment in time.

@taffy you hit all of the notes I thought, but just a little more edited than I would like, but wanted to bring the attention to mother and daughter

What a pair of signs to capture the feel of the march - but I have to admit that little girl's sign is why we should ALL reconsider the use of "fairy tales" for children!

@jyokota Your experience with the genre of children's fairy tales should be a siren to us all! Flip it on its head!

Still my fav. :)
