Last year I missed the Women's March in Chicago because I was back in England laying my Mum to rest. This year it felt very personal to me that I should be a part of it, and I felt her there with me!
This is a great choice. It definitely has the evocative sense of the day, the range of ages participating, the tightness emotionally and physically, and it's clearly an urban setting, so a sense of type of place. Well captured moment in time.
marvellous, andie. i loved the image, and your narrative. very uplifting to imagine your mother alongside you. and rather touching that @taffy hit all the notes :) greetings and respect to both you wonderful women
Fabulous photo, and a wonderful way to publicise an extremely important cause. I do like the mother and daughter in your shot. Your image, together with that of @taffy really captures the essence of the event. Just wish I could've been there to march with you.
What a pair of signs to capture the feel of the march - but I have to admit that little girl's sign is why we should ALL reconsider the use of "fairy tales" for children!
