drip drop twilight

We have a Japanese Bloodgood maple out front that we bought as a wee sapling. Now nine years old and nine feet tall, it caught my eye this evening after raining again for the better part of the day. Droplets lined the branches all over the tree. I had one minute as my wife and kids drove up from gymnastics to catch this as I wanted to have dinner started before they pulled up the driveway.
This had a haunted feel!

Fantastic capture of the droplets and I like the way the branches feel like they are intertwined.

Nice detail. Soft background helps the droplets pop.

Seriously, it's been nine years since that tree was delivered to your house while we were in Kyoto ??? I must say that you've captured a very different way of seeing that tree, and you've created a new mood through this photograph. You surely used that minute you had well.
