We finally have had some proper warm spring days and the bloodroot responded in kind. I adore bloodroot, a midwestern native, for its elegant, pure white petals and amazing leaf shape. My patch started with 3 or 4 plants from my mother shortly after we moved to our house 10 years ago, and is now abundant and beautiful. I drew inspiration from a recently viewed version of this on 365. Thanks to whomever inspired this shot.
