I was desperate to catch a shot of my backyard white-lined sphinx moth, aka hummingbird moth, where the proboscis is tightly in focus, and I think I got one! They are such an incredibly beautiful moth and I was pleased to see this one darting around my agastache for a early autumn dusk feeding. I had my trusty 100mm and decided to only use manual focus, to "test" myself. What I thought worked well was the complementary pink on the wings of the moth and the flowers. It was a nice final "hoorah" of sorts for my late September garden.
