HMS Trincomalee

HMS Trincomalee
The ship Trincomalee is named after an action that took place between the Royal and French Navies off the east coast of, then, Ceylon. It was constructed for the Royal Navy by the famous Wadia shipbuilders, Mumbai.
With the end of the Napoleonic wars in 1819, it was placed in reserve, and then revived and deployed in North America and the West Indies in 1845. It took part in the Crimean war in 1855 alongside the French Navy in the North Pacific.
This model is in the Bombay Gymkhana, Mumbai.
