@sueb47 Thank you, Sue! I was actually thinking of a poster - we will eventually move back to the US, and I want to have something to remember the gardens - they are so prominent in our everyday life: that's where "our" playground is, that's where the kids go to the fairy tale garden a lot, that's where all the town events and festivals happen. And they have this constant flow of flowers, planted and changed all the time. So, this was a practice for a potential future poster, although I figured, I have to work more on colors. Blues are underrepresented. I might also do one for each season, because the flowers change as well. :)
@whimsicalgrateful Thank you Marta! The idea came from our trip to Bavaria - they had an information poster for the flowers you can find in the mountains, and they organised them by color so that people can identify them easier. That's where I though of a rainbow combination - because the park here is overflowing with flowers in all shapes and colors.
@ali_pic@lxxx You might not believe it, but I was in and out in 45 mins :) Dropped kids off at school kindergarten by 9, and shortly before 10 I was home putting the collage together - didn't edit any of the pics, since they would be small anyway, just cropping. :)
@lynbonn@fayefaye@novab@jporcaro@newbank Thank you so much! It was not a long affair, as the flowers are just THERE - an incredible variety. And I even haven't gone into the rose garden, that's a complete different story :) Does it sound like I love castle grounds in Ludwigsburg? Yes. I do a lot! :)
@bob65 Thanks, Bob! Actually, not that much time - just 45 mins in the park, which is overflowing with different flowers. And then I just cropped them without doing any processing otherwise and use the collage maker. So... it was really a snapshot-like affair with quick putting together afterwards. I am glad it looks like a time-consuming high-intensity result though! :) Thank you for your comment.
Oh wow, I am so glad so many people liked the "flower arrangement" from our palace gardens! I always felt that photographing just one flower from there is such an unfair thing to all the other beauties, and I am glad that I found an appealing way to showcase some of them together. Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments and favs! I am glad you enjoyed the image.
a great idea - we all take photos of flowers but there are limitations to how we can present a single bloom - this is such a simple yet very effect method
@btwebb@handymaurice Thank you, Barbar and Haydn!
Haydn, you got it exactly right - we are surrounded by flowers here as the park is known for its variety, but I rarely just take a flower picture... On the other hand, I really wanted to capture and remember the beauty I see here every time I enter the park, and I am glad so many people enjoyed the result. Thanks!
