A full day of spectacular views and an evening of exhausted kids. They did well hiking down from a mountain, especially considering that one of them is just 3 years old. It only took us about 3 hours with stops and snacks and pinecone picking what was "announced" as a one hour hike. It was fun though, and I felt sorry for people just rushing down the mountain as if it is a race.
Thank you for your visits and critique!
Your 3 year is in the same place as my 3 year old was on our 2 hour walk in the hills this weekend! Some on daddy shoulders and some walking. Looks a fabulous view
@californialover Thanks! The whole vacation was magical - we packed all kinds of rubber boots and warm jackets for a November vacation, and ended up with a week of sunshine and temperatures of +18-20 C! Who knew!

Oh my! Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments! I have to agree - the views here are breathtaking, and I am glad we got to come here again to experience it all.
This picture is also for me in a category of "why I love photography" - while it looks all dramatic and vast, the reality of it was that these three were not standing on a ledge of a cliff, but on a very low-rolling hill on the way down. Just looking at them from where I was standing made it appear like they are looking at a empty space below them. I also had to wait till all the other hikers are gone - and I am glad the three guys in the picture actually agreed to stand there for me and admire the scenery for a while.
