Yup, it's real. Another tape installation at my building done by students - what looks like a flat circle with a triangle in the middle is actually bunch of masking tape stuck to the regular staircase, walls, ceiling and railing. The very left part is a wall really close to where I am standing at - also with a part of the figure stuck to it. We didn't line it up properly, as I saw it later on the screen (where the railing is), but even like that it looked spectacular.
