The MLK day at the University of Michigan included an opportunity to go onto the Burton Tower to hear a carillon concert, watch the musicians play, talk to them (here), try out the Carillion (which I bet made listeners in town very puzzled), see the bells, learn about them, touch them and even (try to) push the clappers. Not the bet picture technically, but it was cold, windy and there was not enough space under that bell for 4.
Thanks for visiting.
@ingajohansson Funny that you mention it - I have been reading a lot on street photography, trying to figure out why it never works for me although I find it fascinating :)
@houser934 It was a great experience. I was there once during art fair, but it was so crowded, you couldn't enjoy it. This time, it was very doable - not a lot of people and the performers were very very friendly, explaining everything and letting kids and adults try the instrument and the bells clappers.
