Brave people going down the big dune overlook over the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore on lake Michigan. Takes about 2 hours to climb back up in all that sand, according to the sign.
@gilbertwood They are. Very unique landscape - fun and sandy, but also so tough to deal with: walking is hard in the sand, and it is scorching hot in the summer and cold and windy otherwise. Here are some great drone views https://youtu.be/UrvuydoI-eE
@vera365 Thanks Vera for that link - it looks amazing!!! I would be so tempted to go down there - in the right weather conditions! I loved the sand dunes in the Simpson desert 2 years ago and had to go up and down them :) These are now on wish list to visit :) Thanks to 365 I learn about so many I would love to visit!
