My dog Roxie loves to dig but the ground around here is like rock. This Spring, I broke up the ground for a flower bed and loosed the dirt with potting soil. I planted bulbs and waited. Roxie assumed I'd made a digging bed just for her. Only one bulb survived. The rest were dug up and maybe eaten. Who knows. Here's the result of the one bulb's valiant struggle for survival.
