Two more weeks until my newest grandbaby makes her appearance. My little grandson has no idea how his life is going to change. The day's activity with my oldest two grandkids was a trip to downtown Portland on MAX (lightrail) and walking around Saturday Market. I took a few pictures, but nothing that topped what this photo said to me this evening as we sat around the fire when my daughter stopped by to see us. She is well aware that their life is changing and is making sure to make the most of every minute.
Such a lovely shot. These are the ones that mean the most. It says so much, Vicki. I bet your daughter was so pleased with the shot. Hope all goes well with her delivery.
You are right. He doesn't. It will be cool for him to see such a great quality moment ....there he is, pre-sibling, still an only child, with his mom's attention. We grew up with very few if any of our mom's pregnant...I think people thought it was not to be shown too much....and everyone wore the BIG loose maternity wear. I am glad that changed. I am the youngest, so I'd never have gotten to see a pic of me like this of your grandson's no matter how good the technology/camera.
One of the most beautiful photos to illustrate the bonding of mother and child AND the new addition that is coming soon. How wonderful it must have been to capture this moment ... a treasure forever!
