My daughter-in-law drove up last night and joined in on the fun. Today's event was ice skating. She has NEVER been before, so it was pretty fun watching my granddaughter teach her how. That is my grandson right behind them...his skating form is as good as his bowling form (lol), it is very unique...he kind of run skates. He competes in running like his father and grandfather (my husband), so I guess he just thinks that how is needs to be done.
How wonderful to have them all on here together, Vicki ... that's what life is all about. Remembering fun moments like this. And now you have captured it forever.
I used to love this! My brothers and I would make a rink in our back yard, them on hockey skates and me on the other ones. Such fun! Great fun and you captured the trepidation of your daughter in law, how great is that?
So fun, Vicki. Good for your daughter-in-law. Did your husband and son get home from the Olympics yet. I hope they had a great time. My daughter in law gets home tonight. My son has business in Germany and will not be home until Thursday.
And, even though I live in the frozen north and there are ice skating rinks outside everywhere, I have never been on the ice. (I have enough trouble walking on the ice ; )
Great shot. I give your daughter-in-law a lot of credit. Usually is you do not ice skate before you are a teenage, you never will. I was raised just off of a lake that froze over every winter and we spent hours on the ice. Both of our children took to it quickly, also.
Wonderful fun capture - l tried this once & once only ....l held the edge and if another person was holding the edge, l held them to get past - l dont need to do this again:)
