When I moved last spring from my home of 25 years, one of the hardest things to let go of was the view I had from my deck of MY mountain. I am happy to report that I have discovered another awesome view of it from the new place. I requires a walk of just .3 miles (point 3), but I need the exercise, right?
WOW Vicki! Lucky you!!! This is fabulous. We used to go to Blue Lake to swim when I was a kid living in Portland. Of course I don't remember this view. Big FAV!!! And are you able to do you 3 mile walk already? Good for you! (actually that would be 6 miles!...good girl!)
@eyesmile the park is only .3 (point 3) from here...but by the time I start and get back, I have been getting in 2 miles...not every day, but doing better and better! thanks for asking!
When I lived in Portland area, I LOVED that from just about everywhere, you could turn west and see that gorgeous mountain! Can you believe we never visited it? I'm kicking myself now (we went to Mt. St. Helens a couple times.)
We didn't visit Blue Lake either. We were pretty firmly entrenched in SW Portland and didn't venture to that side very often.
The perspective of both places in this shot is gorgeous!
@nanalisarocks@carwyn3@julie@yonnie I was still taking a break from 365 when the move happened, so I didn't ever post about it. It was a sudden thing. A friend who is a real estate agent knew that we were thinking of listing 'eventually', as we want to build a home more suited to our family activities. Without even listing it, she called saying she had a buyer, we would not even need to list, just let them look. We put a higher price on it than we thought, and even though it was not sell ready, they looked and loved it, made an offer that very day. We got our price and were out a month later! I know it had to be God saying it was time to move! At the moment we are renting a really gorgeous house by Blue Lake and will begin the search for the prefect piece of land soon. It was hard to let the house go, but I am really happy here too!
And how come I don't remember you moved???
