Winter Color

I took a little walk today. Normally this is such a green place. Today, no green, barren trees and the ponds were partially frozen. At first I didn't think it was very picture worthy, but the more I look at it the more I like the contrast. And what at first seem so bland, I now see there is a beautiful pop of red from the branches of the vine maples. Happy New Year everyone!

@cathieg yes, Cathie, there was ice on the smaller ponds by the lake. Blue lake itself only had ice at the edges.
