You've seen Mrs S bare (21 January) - today you get to see Mrs S's Bear... err, bare!
I have yet to do a portrait for week 2 of B&W Bookclub, so let me rectify that now and introduce you to Mr. Ted Bear, a grand old ursine gentleman, now over 60 years old but keeping active and enjoying his twilight years doing lots of reading - Winnie the Pooh, mainly.
Awesome black and white shot, love this photo and an instant fav for me. The lighting on this is perfect. And for such an old bear who is bare he is in good nick ;-)
@clarita_71 Wow, that was quick Claire - he's actually quite threadbare because he's been much loved. Thank you for commenting and for the Fav - Mrs S will be delighted.
You know I love the play on words. And Mr. Ted Bear looks well cared for. Love this low light with the bw. You have embraced this idea of BW for a month.
@clarita_71@jocasta@lja@lisatargowska Thank you ladies for your encouragement and Favs. @therubysusan Mr Ted thanks you for your suggested reading list - he really likes biographies, so he is bound to enjoy these.
@kporte No you don't 'find portraits hard' - all your 'bug' pictures are portraits. Each time you photograph a bug you look to capture the essential character of your subject... which sums up very neatly what portraiture is all about.
It's a pleasure to meet Mr. Bear and his sweet little smile. He's cocking his head at me as if he just asked a question. And one is never too old for Winnie the Pooh, after all :)
