Who are you calling trunky?

Lots of six-legged activity in the garden today. I found three of these beetles on a small leaf trying various permutations of mating. They're only about 5mm long and move quite quickly, so not the easiest of subjects to capture. In the end, I liked this shot the best as I swear he was looking at me, looking at him!
Great focus on a cheeky little guy.

FAV. Awesome close up shot. I am not particularly interested in the insect but the clarity of the shot is amazing.

I find this guy a little cute - what great detail and love that shimmer on its back. I can't wait to chase bugs again - we've had such a cold winter spring is delayed in my area.
