My Get Pushed partner Françoise @francoise wrote - "My challenge is a scene with a group of people or even a very large crowd of people." This is a second try and was taken at the Sunday market in the neighbouring town of Plélan-le-Grand. This market attracts people from a wide surrounding area and the busiest time is around 11.00 am. Unfortunately, that is also the time of the Mass in Paimpont Abbey where I help with the service, so I visited the market just after 9.00am when there were far fewer people - much better for shopping but not so good for this particular challenge!
I am loving this one. Love your sunshine too not so much here today, yet. Plus an interesting view into your world outside the abbey and your immediate neighborhood. It's a very active scene.
@francoise Hi Françoise - you probably thought that I had abandoned your challenge as I haven't posted anything since last Sunday, but it's rare that I see more than 2 or 3 people in a week let alone a crowd! I made a quick trip to the market in the neigbouring town this morning but it was a bit early for the majority of shoppers so there weren't too many people around for my picture. I hope this meets your expectations - it was certainly fun to try something different.
@joansmor Thanks Joan - it's the busiest market in the area and unusual in that it is always on Sunday mornings. The other side of the market was busier than this but that side of the street was still in deep shadow so not so good for the bright and sunny feel I was looking for. An hour or so later it would have been very difficult to have made your way through the crowds of shoppers. Have a great Sunday.
You have met the challenge, wonderful light, people, color all of it. It is as if one is there and can taste the smells and the murmurs of the market. An evocative photo of time and place. fav
Hi, Richard, I'm you Get Pushed partner for the week. I saw your challenge for me, and I had to laugh when you mentioned an aspect of my photography that I am known for among my photographer friends -- photos with a strong central image. I steer away from broader views and busy photos, and you caught me. I accept your challenge.
For you, since you shoot a lot of (gorgeous) outdoor scenes, my challenge is that you set up and shoot a classic "Old Masters" still life. Have fun!
Such a vibrant street shot and I really like the composition Quite enough people in it - and lots of other things too - to keep our eyes occupied! You have met the challenge very well!
@vignouse definitely qualifies as meeting the challenge. I like the way all the people in the foreground are going about their separate businesses: all people are looking at something different, wrapped up in their own thoughts yet comfortably part of the large crowd extending on ad infitum. I like this a lot.
