This is an entry for Get Pushed week 98. My partner this week, Deborah @debseibly, challenged me: " How about a concept - 'through the glass'. Any subject that you think fits the theme. Hope you enjoy the challenge."
I immediately thought of the phrase 'Through a glass darkly' and then... why 'darkly' and not 'brightly'? So here's a picture of a flower bed in my garden, taken through the thick bottom of a water tumbler. I may yet do 'Through a glass darkly'...
@debseibly Hi Deborah - here's a first go at meeting your challenge 'Through the glass'. I had very little time for photography today as I had to wait nearly 3 hours for an appointment with my eye-surgeon as he was called away to do some emergency surgery. I hope to revisit this challenge later in the week when I expect to have a bit more time, but I've already had fun doing this.
VERY like an abstract painting. I like this a lot. Completely different than the shots I took looking through clear pressed glass. Putting it in my favorites partly to remember that difference and partly, of course, because it appeals to me.
Sorry to be so delayed in commenting. This is a great shot and so creative. It has a great abstract quality. Now I am going to start looking through the bottoms of my glasses. @vignouse
